Key Competencies
This page contains research reports about the progress students are making in developing the key competencies of the New Zealand curriculum.
- The Intro report and Report one describe our approach to assessing the key competencies and the theoretical framework we developed.
- Reports two, three, and four describe the achievement of New Zealand students at Years 4 and 8. They focus on how students' key competencies develop in three disciplinary areas: science, English and mathematics and statistics.
- Report five synthesises findings across the three disciplinary areas.
